THE ART OF LOOKING E-quality for All Luc van de Steeg, born April 30th 1960 in the town of Hilversum, the Netherlands In my early childhood my brothers were engaged with photography, for the air-force and private sector, we had a studio and photo-darkroom build in the garden from old wooden church-shutters. One of my brothers showed me the magic of photography, in black and white, the picture slowly appearing on the photo-paper. By the age of 11 years, my first camera, an instamatic type later on a semi-automatic and finally the mirror reflex camera(Praktica / Nikormat ) with the famous Metz flash, the CT 45-with wet-battery, it weighs a ton but from 20 meters distance (65 feet!) you still could use the flash effectively.
